And the people sought him and came to him, and would have kept him from leaving them, but he said to them, "I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns as well; for I was sent for this purpose." Luke 4:43-44

Jesus taught forgiveness and salvation, healed the sick and drove out demons, releasing people from bondage to sin and evil. Jesus helped so many people at Capernaum that they didn't want him to leave, but he told them he had been sent to all the towns of Israel. God's love and compassion for lost and hurting souls is universal. In our culture, which is increasingly intolerant and resistant to Christianity, Christians have an uphill battle sharing the love of Christ, but love is the answer. Compassion, caring, gentleness and respect will carry the day when sharing our faith with others. With the fastest growing religion in the world being Islam, time is of the essence in reaching our world with the Good News of Jesus Christ. Come and hear more this Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
